Looking for Peace and Rest?

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga allows for relaxing into poses for a longer period of time with the aid or props like bolsters (think large pillows), blocks and blankets. The goal of this nurturing practice is mental, physical and emotional relaxation. Restorative Yoga is taught by Beth Martin Tuesdays at 5:30 pm.

Hatha Yoga

(Slow to Moderate Paced Vinyasa)

Hatha is the physical practice of yoga. Vinyasa is yoga connected by the breath. This class connects mind/body/spirit using slow to moderate paced yoga poses (asana) that are connected by the breath.

Yoga Shred

(Yoga with weights and resistance bands for strength)

Looking to improve cardiovascular health, strength, mobility and muscle tone while putting your mind at ease? Yoga Shred involves yoga postures (asana) with weights and strengthening bands performed in tabata style interval timing (HIIT or high intensity interval training). Class begins with gentle yoga and breathing practices to warmup and ends with easy stretches and yoga nidra (guided rest - think of this as yoga nap time).

Yoga Wall Classes

(Core strength, spinal length, good posture)

Beginners appreciate the time allowed to get into poses on the Yoga Wall. Regular yoga practitioners love the way this yoga prop brings new perspective to their current practice. This class will challenge your core strength, refine alignment and lengthen your spine. All poses including inversions like the one in the photo below are completely optional.

Testimonials…

“Many thanks for allowing me to start and continue a life saving entry to Yoga.

I had a dramatic change in my life where I went from being a 24/7 caregiver (my wife was dying of Stage 4 Liver Disease), to not being a caregiver ——due to the passing of my wife. This trauma affects the various energy centers of the body, soul and mind. Yoga at Zen Squirrel has helped me to rebalance. This rebalance has allowed me to return to life as a Dad, Mentor, Coach and Business Owner. Thank you.” - R

“I literally float out of Beth’s yoga classes feeling lengthened, stretched and renewed with a sense of such peace!” - S

“Beth’s teaching is alignment and pranayama based with useful, related Ayurveda shared during practice. Beth weaves her traveling experiences into her teaching making class all the more interesting.” -B
